The Star Outstanding Business Awards (SOBA) awarded the Gold Award for Community Category to Interhill Group at its 2011 Awards Gala Dinner held in Kuala Lumpur last night.
The Star Outstanding Business Awards (SOBA) is all about recognizing the best in Malaysian businesses. The Award returns for the 2nd year to honour local non-public listed organisations that have led the way with excellent business principles, ethics and practices.
Panel judges for the SOBA Awards selected Interhill Group as the Gold winner of the Community award based on active practices of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) including apportioning part of its profits and other resources, to serving the needs of the community.
The Star Outstanding Business Awards 2011 was organised by the Star newspaper and was presented by Exim Bank Malaysia. The auditor for the awards was BDO Malaysia, and the event is also officially supported by Bursa Malaysia.
Ms Alice Hu, Director of Interhill Group, received the Gold plaque for the award from Dato Seri Kong Cho Ha, Minister of Transport Malaysia. Interhill Group humbly accepts the award and thanks SOBA for the noteworthy and gracious recognition of its work. Being recipient of this award will motivate and drive Interhill even further to pursue greater accomplishments in its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) work so that Interhill may continue to serve the community that it operates in.
